Getting support to heal and thrive takes courage. At Retreat Cove Counselling, I offer an environment that is direct, transparent, caring, and nonjudgmental. I believe that the role of the counsellor is one of facilitation and collaboration. I aim towards an anti-oppressive framework and welcome feedback. I am interested in working alongside individuals, families, folks who experience neurodiversity, 2SLGBTQI+ folks, and people in a variety of relationship structures to support in developing skills and strategies that are practical and creative.

I see people as experts in their own lives and it is important to me to work collaboratively alongside folks.

I practice from a trauma-informed, person-centred approach often incorporating aspects of Somatic therapy, as well as elements of EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy). I believe in aiding people in developing and mastering the skills they need to flourish and make the shifts they seek in their own lives.
